Psychologists or therapists
If you are mostly functional, but you still want to work out issues or seek treatment in the form of therapy, you will need a psychologist, therapist, or counselor.
If you are in need of medication (such as antidepressants or benzodiazepines for anxiety), you will need to seek treatment from a psychiatrist who is able to prescribe medication.
If you are suffering from severe mental illness or suicidal ideation, you may be in need of inpatient treatment. There is no shame in admitting this. Inpatient treatment is sometimes the only way to seek the mental health treatment you deserve.
